We built moss to encourage people to drink more local coffee and use fewer disposable cups. We think that coffee is at its best when it's served locally. Its magic is its ability to bring people together. When your barista not only knows your name but your hopes for the future, life feels a little more meaningful.

Moss is typically the first thing to grow in harsh environments and generates soil/moisture to help the rest of the ecosystem flourish. We're hoping to accomplish something similar in local economies by building a platform that brings new customers to independent coffee shops. Moss is also an environmental legend with its unique ability to store carbon, improve air quality, filter water, and prevent erosion. On top of all of that, it looks cool and is kind of fun to say.
